The New Jersey Fire & EMS Institute was organized in 1992 for the betterment of first responders and the citizens that we swore an oath to protect. Through the past decades the Institute has grown and evolved. Currently, the Institute's core membership associations are the NJ Fire Chiefs Association, NJ Volunteer Fire Chiefs, NJ Career Fire Chiefs Association, NJ Deputy and Battalion Chief Association, and the Eastern Division of the International Association of Fire Chiefs. We follow legislation that impacts the fire service and EMS field, both in NJ and nationally. Our goal is to speak as one voice for all of our associations. We believe that there is strength in numbers. We prefer to partner with associations and legislators and work towards a solution to make life safer for all of New Jersey's citizens, visitors and first responders.
