Nobs Naturals is an independent family owned and operated company based in El Salvador that produces and sources natural raw materials and extracts for the flavour and fragrance industry. Founded in 1984 and run by Javier Francés for almost 40 years, it is now run by his daughter Andrea Francés, a Chemical Engineer trained at ISIPCA who represents the second generation of Nobs. With a vast legacy in farming, our entry into the industry is inspired by guidance from F&F experts on advisory visits to El Salvador from UN agency UNIDO Industrial Utilization of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Programme, GTZ (later GIZ), CBI, and KDC. Both Javier and Andrea Frances have been speakers at IFEAT & WPC (IFEAT 2001, 2013 & 2019 and WPC 2016) and their work on a new source and standard for Cascarilla Bark and on sustainable sourcing of Peru Balsam has been published in Perfumer & Flavorist.
We design ingredients from natural origins for the F&F industry, making unique products that inspire perfumers and flavorists to create exceptional finished products. We adapt the extraction process at the best efficiency for each of the ingredients being extracted from the vegetative material (using cold pressed, hydrodiffusion and solvent extraction).
We have worked hand in hand with Central American communities at every step of the supply chain in order to add value to the ingredients that grow in our region, ensuring long term sustainability by transforming them at the source.

Nobs Naturals has the ability to work up from the agricultural or sourcing stage to the final essential oil or extract, open to exploring contract manufacturing opportunities or other agreements in partnership with our clients.
