Nordik Meats was established in the spring of 2020 as a federally inspected meat processing plant, located in the beautiful rolling hills between Westby and Viroqua, Wisconsin. Owned by local investors, “Nordik” is meant to honor the rugged spirit of our Scandinavian ancestors who settled Vernon County, Wisconsin in the 1800’s.
The prime location on highway 14 will make hauling easy for producers in the area, and reduce stress on animals and the environment. Nordik Meats offers customers online scheduling appointments and options for choosing their own custom cuts, all with a click of a mouse. Nordik Meats has the capability to process 30-40 head per week and intends to expand services to include pork and organic certification.
Managed by experienced staff, the main goal of Nordik Meats is to offer local processing solutions to regional beef and pork producers. Nordik Meats will also partner with other processing facilities and provide kill and ship capability including delivery. Our mission as a local processing solution is to provide critical services to our local food chain to ensure consistent safe supply of healthy, responsibly raised, proteins.
