Norman Alston Architects

Founded in 1989, Norman Alston Architects has assisted clients in a wide variety of building types, including commercial, educational, healthcare, religious and residential. Over the past several years, we have been especially devoted to developing skills necessary for the successful preservation of our dwindling historic and cultural resources. We have been active in research, documentation, training, education, fundraising, non-profit organizations, community activism and other activities so commonly associated with successful preservation efforts. We have experienced first-hand the complexity typical of historic projects and have sought to become a resource to help clients simplify the process and to more confidently address the multitude of issues before them. This role has expanded to our non-historic projects as well. Now, most of our clients come to us with needs that present an unusual degree of technical or regulatory complexity. Norman Alston, architect, began private practice in January 1987. Today, Norman Alston Architects is a team of architects and preservation specialists who operate across Texas from their offices in Dallas.
