Norte Abierto es un joint venture 50% de Barrick y 50% de Newmont, que une los proyectos mineros Cerro Casale y Caspiche, los que se ubican en la Región de Atacama. Esta iniciativa extraerá oro y cobre desde la alta cordillera de la comuna de Tierra Amarilla a una altura de 4.200 metros sobre el nivel del mar. Uno de los objetivos centrales de Norte Abierto es ser un real aporte al desarrollo de la Región de Atacama y las comunidades locales mediante un trabajo sustentable en todas sus etapas.
