ABOUT US:
The North East Cell, SRCC aims to provide adequate representation and provide a homelike environment for the students from the North Eastern States of India. The Cell was founded with the intention of offering students from North-East India a welcoming, home-like setting where they could discuss and share their experiences and, if necessary, work out any problems. The Cell tries to unite, integrate and understand the relationship among the people of the North-East with an aim to promote the North-East identity.
In order to integrate the nation with the lesser-known cultures of Northeast India, the Cell is focused on raising awareness among the populace, particularly throughout the college fraternity. This is a key step towards national integration. Through the screening of regional films, webinars discussing current events in North-East India, sessions with distinguished North-East individuals, North-East India news and updates, etc. the cell has strived to highlight the region throughout its existence.
OUR VISION:
The North East Cell, SRCC, a representative college society for the students from North eastern States of India attempt to create a welcoming environment for the students belonging from North Eastern India and thereafter enhance their visibility at the University level. We at NE Cell, SRCC aim to fulfil the objective of establishing a safe space for cultural exchange and interaction of people with diverse cultures. Furthermore, the cell works to create awareness among the people about lesser known facts of the varied traditions and cultures of northeastern India and form a support system for students from northeast to resolve and handle issues, if any faced by them.
