North West Academies Trust (NWAT)

A Multi Academy Trust (MAT) specialising in Primary Education, based in Chester, Cheshire. North West Academies opened St Martin's Academy Free School in Hoole, Chester, in 2013 and Oak View Academy, WInsford, joined the Trust in 2014. The Trust is run by a group of educators with specialist knowledge of the academy, independent and international education sectors, all of whom are passionate about supporting schools and helping to create centres of excellence. NWAT intends to grow strategically with the addition of other schools within the radius of Chester. Each school joining the Trust will benefit from becoming an associate school of St Martin's Academy and Delamere C of E Academy, who share key services with NWAT schools. Our aim is to work with a range of primary schools in a range of social contexts and create a network of schools - both within the Trust and as associate schools - where mutual support and expertise is at the heart of everything we achieve. NWAT will also seek to work in partnership with other local Trusts that may lack the relevant experience and knowledge of the Primary sector.
