The Northwest Colorado Board of Cooperative Educational Services (NW BOCES) is an authorized agency under Colorado statutes; we are the designated special education administrative unit for our six member districts: East Grand, Hayden, North Park, South Routt, Steamboat Springs, and West Grand. Moffat County School District is an associate member. We provide shared services and programs for two or more of our school districts who wish to cooperate in order to offer supplemental educational programs and services that otherwise may not be available. We are one of 19 BOCES in the Colorado BOCES Association. The concept of educational cooperatives has inherent in it, an economic consideration as well as an educational impact. We administer programs at the request of member districts, which can be operated more efficiently, more economically, or at a higher level of quality by a regional approach.
