Nottinghamshire Junior Cricket is the new governing body overseeing junior cricket in the county.
We’re committed to growing the game by providing more options for children to play and stay in the sport. Being inclusive, integrated and innovative will allow us to work together to increase participation and club membership, and help the game prosper.
Nottinghamshire Junior Cricket is not just about playing the game, but about fostering a thriving, united community where everyone has a role in the growth and future of cricket. We will do this by offering formats where necessary that facilitate transition, retention and enjoyment as appropriate, aiming for progression from National Programmes that is structured and offers a clear pathway for all.
By moving to one governing committee overseeing all junior cricket in Nottinghamshire, we will be able to ease the volunteer burden and offer more support from the Cricket Development department at Trent Bridge.
This move to a countywide structure will not be at the expense of localised club support nor retaining convenient fixture travel for parents & coaches.
