The university has its main campus in Trondheim, with additional campuses in Gjøvik and Ålesund. On January 1, 2016, the university colleges in Ålesund, Gjøvik, and Sør-Trøndelag merged with NTNU. This gave us a more comprehensive range of study programs and larger research environments. Together, we have created the most exciting, innovative, and largest university in Norway.
