Nurture Academy is a social enterprise based in East London. We work with individuals if all ages to provide several different services under one umbrella. We aim to nurture, mentor and teach individuals a life-long skill while unlocking confidence in their ability and skill. We encourage everyone to that confidence and channel it in to their dream and aspirations.
Our services include workshops and accredited courses in hair braiding and natural hairstyling; train a trainer programmes that train individuals to teach others; guided learning sessions that support parents, carers and foster carers in how care for their children's hair. We run social projects such as community hair art projects and projects that support the most vulnerable people in society.
We work with and welcome collaborations with schools (primary and secondary), youth centres, community centres, local authorities, foster care agencies, homeless organisation, rehabilitation services and private organisations.
