Founded in 2022, Nusantara Theatrics is a creative platform, an artist-training & research laboratory, and a community. Unique to our company is our training methodology, PRISM Work, which we are continually researching and developing. The methodology interweaves Poleng Mask Work, Silat Tua, somatic exercises, folktales & mythology, and theatre practice. The foundation of all our work lies in the central pillars of leading with love & joy, knowing oneself, strength in collectivity, holding brave & empowering spaces, and exploring conversations, contexts and narratives relevant to the region. Like the winding waterways, sea portals, and ever-changing islands that make up the archipelago, Nusantara Theatrics strives to leave a wake of collaborative communities in our path, and foster a culture of continuous evolution, revision and exchange.
