NutriCount Inc. is implementing a seamless tracking and incentive based system to help patients and consumers achieve a balanced nutrition. NutriCount is currently working with hospitals for the monitoring of their patient population with chronic diseases. The system is also deployed within companies wellness programs to enhance employee engagement and ultimately reduce insurance costs.
The model has been judged “more innovative than anything [we] have seen in the [10-year] history of the competition” with potential to “trigger a systematic change in the food industry” (MIT Global Challenge jury). NutriCount (formerly ValueMe) has won 1st prize at the MIT Global Challenge competition and has received the AARP Foundation prize. It has been featured in several articles including Boston Magazine, SciFeeds, World, and Luminary Daily.
