Kasei OAK Foundation and AP OAK Company Ltd are sister organizations established under the laws of Ghana. OAK Foundation is an NGO that administers youth employment and migrant reintegration projects in Ghana. We focus primarily on Education, agriculture, technical, and vocational skills in our youth enterprise incubation projects. AP OAK Company Limited is a Social Enterprise registered in Ghana with the mission of advancing professional development and entrepreneurship of young persons, especially women.
To achieve this we deliver our programs through the following;
Mentoring programmes with senior high school students, our Pen Pal Project that promotes intercultural education, our scholarship scheme for underprivileged girls entrepreneurship, we have initiated a number of projects such as Youth-in-Agribusiness program to promote horticulture as a viable employment opportunity for young graduates of tertiary institutions. This project is dubbed: “Graduate-In-Agribusiness Horticulture Module” (Check Youtube AP OAK GIA for all 10 episodes)
OAK is currently implementing the OAK-GIZ Youth Enterprise Incubator Project (YEIP). The project seeks to contribute to the socio-economic reintegration of 200 returning migrants and unemployed young persons into their communities by supporting them to set up their businesses in the vocational and agricultural sectors to attain sustainable incomes.
OAK also delivers its work through:
• Enterprise set up for returnees, youth and women
• Women’s social groups, cooperatives, and volunteer associations;
• Agribusiness and vocational incubator projects benefiting the youth;
• Small-holder farmers and marginalized youth segments;
• Agribusiness training and Consulting
Again, in providing sustainable food, entrepreneurship and enterprise set up, OAK has successfully been able to acquire land banks in Ashanti Region, Greater Accra and Western Region that operates commercial farms such as cereals, vegetables, Aquaculture and livestock as part of their contribution to solving unemployment among the youth and contributing to sustainable food production in Ghana
