Organization for Human Relief (OHR) Overview

Organization for Human Relief (OHR) is a women-led, independent, non-profit organization founded in 2013. Since its establishment, OHR has remained steadfast in its mission to uplift communities and individuals by promoting gender equality, protecting human rights, empowering women, fostering community development, combating gender-based violence (GBV), supporting mental health, improving access to education, facilitating economic reintegration, and delivering humanitarian aid. Our initiatives center on capacity building, advocacy, outreach, partnerships, and direct assistance. We prioritize networking and mobilizing vulnerable populations and stakeholders to create lasting change. OHR is dedicated to fostering multi-sectoral opportunities for local communities, with a particular focus on empowering women. Through participatory and culturally informed approaches, we collaborate with women’s rights activists, local organizations, communities, and key stakeholders to tackle urgent challenges and uplift marginalized groups. --- VISION: To promote and protect the well-being of communities through sustainable development principles - ensuring economic viability, gender responsibility, and social equity. --- MISSION: To mobilize support and build durable partnerships by addressing the basic needs and priority issues of communities.
