One Thousand Schools, is a week long service trip for young professionals to volunteer in Honduras on a school building project. Our mission, with Students Helping Honduras, is to alleviate extreme poverty and gang violence in Honduras through education and youth empowerment. There are 1,000 communities in Honduras that lack access to a school facility. By bringing volunteers down and fundraising for our school project one-by-one, we aim to create a lasting change for community members and students.
