I am a qualified teacher of Psychology with over 9 years teaching experience in UK state schools, a prestigious independent school and a British International School in Bangkok. I have been Head of Department for most of my teaching career and also Head of Year 12. I also hold a coaching and mindfulness qualification. I am passionate about teaching and helping students learn.
Before getting into teaching I worked in HM Prison Service, so I have real life experience of dealing with many psychological issues in practice including; attachment theory, addiction and social learning theory. I have also worked in marketing at two UK universities and enjoy business psychology (I also have an MBA).
I have vast sixth form experience and gained significant knowledge from working for two universities means that I have detailed knowledge about the UCAS process and what admissions tutors are looking for in your personal statement (work experience really is a must if you want to read Psychology at University).
