Established in 1987, the OBA Foundation is the charitable arm of the Ontario Bar Association. The OBA Foundation promotes legal education and advances innovative research with the goal of improving the justice system.
Ongoing work includes funding projects that promote legal education and access to justice in marginalized communities, such as San Romanoway Revitalization Association-sponsored programs; high school trial moots across the province; and fellowships in law and ethics. Most recently, the OBA Foundation has launched the OBA Foundation Scholarship to assist deserving students to realize their dreams of becoming lawyers. Financial grants will be awarded to students who have demonstrated resilience in overcoming obstacles to reach their goals. Our work is funded through generous donations from the Ontario legal community and beyond.
