Comisiynydd Heddlu a Throsedd Gogledd Cymru sy’n gyfrifol am lywodraethu plismona yn yr ardal. Mae ar y Comisiynydd gyfrifoldeb cyffredinol i sicrhau heddlu effeithiol ac effeithlon sy'n dangos gwerth am arian ac, yn bwysicaf oll, yn lleihau trosedd. Mae ar y Comisiynydd bedair prif ddyletswydd, sef: • Gosod y blaenoriaethau ar gyfer plismona yng Ngogledd Cymru • Penderfynu ar y gyllideb ar gyfer Heddlu Gogledd Cymru • Dal y Prif Gwnstabl yn atebol • Gwrando ar farn y cyhoedd ynglŷn â phlismona. Etholwyd Andy Dunbobbin yn Gomisiynydd Heddlu a Throsedd Gogledd Cymru ar 6 Mai 2021. Daeth i rym yn swyddogol ar 13 Mai 2021. The Commissioner has an overarching duty to secure an efficient and effective police force, which demonstrates value for money and, above all, cuts crime. The Commissioner has four main duties, which are to: • Set out the priorities for policing in North Wales • Decide the budget for North Wales Police • Hold the Chief Constable to account, and to • Listen and respond to your views on policing Andy Dunbobbin was elected the Police and Crime Commissioner for North Wales on 6 May 2021; he officially took office on 13 May 2021.
