The Open European Dialogue is a politically neutral platform that aims to improve European politics by supporting policymakers in better understanding challenges and perspectives from across Europe. We do that by connecting European politicians across parties and countries, providing space for dialogue and promoting innovative political conversations in a way that no one else does.
The OED is internationally recognized for its Good Offices and has been selected by the OECD in 2021 as a global best practice for cross-border collaboration and innovation.
The Open European Dialogue is coordinated by APROPOS - Advancing Process in Politics in cooperation with the German Marshall Fund of the United States, the Barcelona Centre for International Affairs (CIDOB), the Istituto Affari Internationali (IAI) in Rome, and the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) in Athens. It funded by Stiftung Mercator, the King Baudouin Foundation, the Robert Bosch Stiftung and the Bertelsmann Stiftung.
