Tamko is the Students' Union for all students in Tampere University of Applied Sciences. The Finnish Students' Unions are recognized and regulated by the law on Universities of Applied Sciences.
The basic task of Tamko is to represent the students within the TAMK administration and to improve their studies as well as social conditions. Tamko also organizes tutoring and other leisure activities.
All students of TAMK are welcome to join The Students' Union. Membership provides dozens of benefits, and therefore Tamko has over 6800+ members.
Members of Tamko receive a national student ID-card which entitles to a number of discounts.
