Our great-great-grandfather purchased the farm at Ōrākau in 1914. Five generations later, and we are still passionate about raising happy and healthy cows on the very same land.
Ōrākau, the area where the farm is, translates to ‘the place of trees’, but, splitting the word into Ōrā Kau, we think defines what we stand for perfectly: 'safe, healthy and happy cows'.
We are focused on animal welfare with a strong consideration for the environment and sustainability; both economically and globally. We operate to ensure that the land has a rich and diverse ecosystem.
