OHDS strives to work in a collaborative manner with communities and other NGOs and puts substantial effort into consultation and participation of communities in project design and management. In particular, OHDS wants to see communities move out of poverty in a sustainable manner, building incrementally and slowly on good development practice and implementation.
OHDS wants all stakeholders to see it as a transparent, fair and neutral, respectful, and active organization that believes in maintaining accountability towards its donors, the communities it works for, and all other stakeholders. OHDS will nurture its collaboration and partnerships with communities, Afghan ministries, UN agencies, and international and national NGOs to maximize the provision of effective emergency relief and sustainable development support to communities in need.
