ORI is a Design label based in Mumbai, born out of love compassion for handcrafted Indian treasures. At Ori, we believe in mindful living. Sustainability lies in the core of our philosophy.
For us the process is as important as the product hence we have made a choice to practice ethical manufacturing across all our processes. Our pledge is to work with hand spun and handwoven fabrics, sourced directly from KHADI certified weavers, from all over India. Our clothing, is made in an indigenous manufacturing unit, which allows us to have full control over the quality of the product and gives us an opportunity to connect directly with our karigars who work in a comfortable environment, and earn fare wages.
Each of our product is a result of an indelible symbiotic relationship between the designer, artisan and the karigar. Our designs reflect an amalgamation of luxury, comfort and functionality. We at Ori, inspire to create products with global timeless appeal with detail oriented approach.
Ori is the brainchild of Mamta Gautam & Himani Thapa. Mamta, is an expert in Garment manufacturing, and has been collaborating with fashion designers for past two decades. Himani is a post graduate in Design from NID, Ahmedabad. Ori is her expression of years of experience of working with artisans across India, her love for Indian crafts and textiles, ethical fashion and sustainable design. Together, they aim to bring high quality, ethical clothing to the forefront of the fashion industry.
