Orxa is Bangalore-based and founded in 2015. Engineering is Orxa's strongest muscle- All of Orxa's vehicles are completely designed and developed in-house by the Orxa team.
The Mantis:
Orxa is launching their flagship sports bike, the Mantis. This is targeted for commercial launch in 2022-2023. The Mantises were proven in Mar 2022 over 13500km in 54 days. This ride was called an #ElectricBharatmala and crossed the record for the longest e-motorcycle ride. The Mantis was also the 1st ever EV unveiled at India Bike Week, in front of over 20,000 people. Over 85% of the Mantis is designed & developed by the Orxa team and #MadeInIndia along with Indian vendor-partners. Targeting extensive indigenization, the Mantis final assembly will be done in the outskirts of Bangalore.
Funding & Partnerships:
Orxa was bootstrapped for 2 years & has raised 3 rounds of external funding. The most recent funding was Preseries A by the SAR group for an undisclosed amount. Orxa is associated with Airbus Bizlab (now Scale), NSRCEL IIM-B, Unreasonable, and Sustainability Mafia.
Aerospace & Defence:
With a robust B2B business in performance systems, Orxa builds EVs and Energy Systems for Aerospace, Defence, and other performance sectors. Orxa's B2B revenues are growing 6x YoY.
