The Artist's Hangout is informal academia centered on Art and educating artists on the business of art. We organize artists' hangouts, an event that brings artists, art collectors, galleries, lawyers, and other professionals together to discuss matters about artists and the business of art. We also engage in art discourse that opens the awareness of artists to the happenings, trends, history, and future predictions of art. More importantly, we are aimed at bringing the culture of Art Discourse into the Nigeria Art industry. This is not a platform limited by geographical location as we have a physical or offline event bringing together various categories of people in the art world from different parts of the country, as well as beyond the shores of this country as we have audiences all over the world and they get to join the event through live streaming via our online platforms.
It is also an Art Business School where the business of art is learned through online seminars, crash courses, walk-in classes based on scheduled booking sessions, 3months semester curriculum, journals, etc. The platform also offers Art curating for exhibitions, art events, art-inclined movies, and artists representing as well as consultancy. The platform also trains individuals on art curating and also runs a curating agency where galleries, artists, collectors, and various categories of individuals could book a curator to help curate an exhibition, event, etc.
We also work in partnership with lawyers so artists can get lawyers to help them with everything that has to do with documents.
