The Ottawa Centre for Resilience (OCFR) provides trauma-informed assessment and treatment for children, teens, adults, caregivers, and families experiencing complex mental health challenges.
Our interdisciplinary team includes clinical, forensic, and school psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists, with expertise in developmental trauma, dissociation, adoption, attachment, and neurodevelopmental disorders.
We offer:
• Neuropsychological, psychoeducational, and diagnostic assessments
• Individual therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults
• Caregiver support and consultation, including foster and adoptive families
• Family therapy and systemic interventions
• Collaboration with schools, physicians, legal professionals, and community agencies
We’re often referred when:
• A child’s needs are unclear or complex
• A diagnosis is needed to support school accommodations
• There are concerns about trauma, adoption, or dissociation
• Families need clarity following involvement with child welfare or youth justice
• Parents or caregivers need support navigating difficult behaviours
