How it works:
1. The Pharmacist prints the QR Code on Prescription Label - the pharmacist generates the patient’s personalized QR barcode on the prescription label and sticks it onto the patient’s medication.
2. The Patient scans QR Code - the patient uses the smartphone app to scan the QR barcode, converting the prescription information and instructions from text into speech so they can confirm that they’re about to take the correct medication in the correct dosage.
3. QR Code on Prescription - participating pharmacies convert the prescription information into an Our Pills Talks QR code and print that code on the prescription label. Both labels are placed on the patient’s medication. The QR code is also printed on the repeat prescription form.
4. Translates the Prescription - you can set the Our Pills Talk Medicine Safety App to operate in any one of dozens of languages. All your medical information will be translated into the language of your choice. When the app is set to display in a foreign language the app titles are also shown in English in smaller text, so that a Locum doctor or Emergency Department staff in a hospital can still navigate the Our Pills Talk Safety App to get the patient’s medication information.
