PA-CAT is a phased array data analysis algorithm which uses pitch-catch data over a wide range of angles for detection and accurate measurement of contact point corrosion. The algorithm is based on modeling responses of real contact point corrosion. Users acquire data using existing, field-portable PAUT instruments, probes and scanners, then upload a small subset of the data to a cloud algorithm which quickly processes the information and returns an Excel report with the corrosion riverbottom.
