PACT (Partnership for Carbon Transparency) Overview

PACT is a global initiative enabling businesses to calculate and exchange product-level carbon data that is accurate, granular, and comparable. Hosted by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), PACT connects companies, policymakers, and standard setters to harmonize Product Carbon Footprints (PCFs) across industries and geographies. We bring together over 150 stakeholders, and a growing community of more than 2,500 companies, to use a common methodology and technical specifications for calculating and exchanging PCFs. This ensures that carbon data is consistent, comparable, and trusted across value chains. By enabling supply chains to speak the same carbon language, PACT helps businesses improve greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting, strengthen Scope 3 emissions reduction strategies, and accelerate supply chain transparency. Together, we are driving real, measurable decarbonization in the private sector.
