The house was originally built in 1901 by a courageous pioneer from Brindisi, Giuseppe Pinto, who found his fortune in Egypt by trading Puglia wines in his shops in Cairo and Alexandria until the early 1940s when he re-established himself in Brindisi. Over the years, the mansion has become the home of the Pinto family who have inhabited it to this day, expanding and modernizing it without affecting its original identity, transforming a part of building into a modern and comfortable guest house.
