PALESTRA is a concept space located in a 350 square meter loft in the centre of Matera. It is a hybrid open space that is able to transform with the needs of each clients.
The location dates back to the 1800’s when it was used as a granary to the adjacent noble Palazzo Malvini Malvezzi and in the ‘80’s transformed into a gym.
Today PALESTRA is dedicated to music, theatre, exhibitions, conferences and events for the private and public sector.
PALSTRA opened its doors in summer 2019 by the guys at area; a double volume space with all the mod cons and state of the art equipment ideal for meetings, workshops, parties, lunches and dinners for up to 150 people.
The space is 200 metres from the main square Piazza Vittorio Veneto and a five minute walk from Casa Cava.
