Andrea Palladio was an architect of the Italian Renaissance. He is the author of a treatise entitled The Four Books of Architecture.
His work had a considerable influence and still inspires many architects today. Influenced by both ancient authors and artists such as Vitruvius, Pliny and Julius Caesar, and contemporary ones such as Alberti and Vasari, Palladio demonstrated that Architecture, Liberal Arts and Humanism are inseparable.
