Palosanto Films – known as Moliwood Film until November 2020 – is a young, dynamic film and television production company, founded in Rome by Pilar Saavedra Perrotta after a long-standing and fruitful work relationship with film companies Filmauro and Wildside.
Flaminio Zadra joined Palosanto Films in 2018, following a career led mostly abroad and started in 2004 as Managing Director of Dorje Film. In this period he has produced and co-produced several short films, documentaries, and feature films by award-winning international authors such as Fatih Akin, Julie Bertucelli, Sergei Bodrov, Idrissa Ouédraogo, Etgar Keret, Pablo Trapero, Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Zhangke Jia, Hany Abu-Assad e Jafar Panahi.
In 2020 Palosanto Films co-produced the last feature film by Ildiko Enyedi and it’s currently co-producing Jessica Woodworth’s film. Palosanto Films is also developing several film projects with internationally renowned directors such (Fatih Akin, Lucia Puenzo, Jessica Woodworth) as well as young Italian talents.
