We are Pangaea Clothing, a sustainable clothing brand based in Amsterdam. Started by four students, our mission is to seek alternatives for the commonly used resources in fashion, while not giving in on style and comfort. We stand for sustainability, without concession.
We are introducing a new fibre to the market, named Bamboo Lyocell. This fibre is made of Bamboo, which is one of the most sustainable resources available on our planet. For Bamboo Lyocell, this resource is combined with a clean and safe production process, making it one of the most promising fibres of the moment.
We developed a longsleeve, in which we combined the Bamboo Lyocell (70%) with Hemp, Recycled Polyester and a touch of Lycra. This creates a unique blend, with an extremely soft feel and extraordinary properties. Our longsleeve is not only extremely sustainable, but also surprisingly pleasant and stylish to wear.
Since the idea started in May 2016, we did an intesive amount of research and development, after which we will launch a kickstarter campaign for our longsleeve in Fall 2017.
The team consists of four students: Mees Eringa, Daniel Disco, Jesse Schoenmakers and Daan Stroeken. All bachelor students at the University of Amsterdam
