Het PAOS-fonds biedt sinds 2000 financiële ondersteuning aan projecten zonder winstoogmerk voor nascholing van hoger opgeleiden op sociaal-wetenschappelijk terrein. Het kan gaan om o.a. ontwikkeling en uitvoering van postacademische cursussen, congressen, opleidingen en om onderzoek naar postacademisch onderwijs. Het fonds heeft tot nu toe enkele tientallen projecten financieel ondersteund voor een totaalbedrag van meer dan 400.000 euro.
