We are the Parasite Immuno-epidemiology Group, a research group at the University of Edinburgh aiming to advance the current understanding of schistosomiasis.
Schistosomiasis is a neglected tropical disease and the second most important parasitic disease of public health importance in Africa.
Our ultimate goal is to inform schistosome control and help improve the overall health of people living in schistosome-endemic areas.
Led by Professor Francisca Mutapi.
