Passchendaele Society Overview
The Passchendaele Society is an action group working towards better nationwide recognition of the influence which Passchendaele and the Western Front had on the development of our nationhood and sense of national identity. Our prime objective is to increase community awareness and recognition of the events at Passchendaele and the Western Front related to the Great War of 1914-1918. What we're doing to make a difference: The Passchendaele Society is raising money for the The New Zealand Memorial & Garden, after being asked by WW100, the Government organization set up to remember those who died in World War One. Work has already begun on the Passchendaele Memorial & Garden, near the Zonnebeke Chateau in Belgium. Our track record: 100% of your donations will go towards the construction of our memorial garden. Boffa Miskell, the NZ design company of the New Zealand Garden has given $15,000 worth of its time pro bono and the Passchendaele Society has put in $7500 of its own funds.
