More than 95% of cyber attacks start with an email, whether to deliver malicious files or social engineering (phishing) to gain access. Wannacry started this way, remember that? Sadly the next ‘Wannacry’ attack is not an ‘if’ but a ‘when’.
So we thought ‘How can we reduce the success of email-based cyber attacks?’
For starters, let’s keep the number of malicious emails getting to the inbox to the absolute minimum. Our Email Threat Simulator provides robust and regular testing for your firewall, anti-virus and anti-spam to make sure they are up-to-date, optimised and effective against all current attack vectors, all the time. Did you know there are more than 240 types of attack and new ones pop up far too often?
That’s great but realistically we will never stop them all (truth hurts, we know). So let’s make sure that we are all better aware and equipped to spot fake and malicious emails. To get that done we have developed a healthcare focused phishing simulation program (12 months) and follow up education and awareness so nobody in your team can say they didn’t know.
Finally the really cool bit. Imagine if all the people, in every GP surgery, clinic, hospital, dentist or optician had a way to report malicious emails and automatically tell every one else. A kind of cyber attack early warning system.

Using our email client plugin a suspicious email can be reported and analysed with a single click by anyone and, if confirmed as malicious by our technology, we can flag or delete it from everyone else in the network who has also received it. Across the entire UK healthcare ecosystem.
