PBI Aqaba Industrial Estate LLP., registered in the United Kingdom, develops and manages the Aqaba International Industrial Estate (AIIE) and Queirah International Industrial Estate (QIIE) in Jordan, with partners from China, Norwegian and the United States. Aqaba International Industrial Estate (AIIE) is located 1 km from Aqaba Airport and 15 km from the Sea Port in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone (ASEZ). Aqaba is Jordan’s only seaport and also serves as a forwarding and trans-shipment port to Iraq and neighboring countries. For the past 19 years, PBI Aqaba Industrial Estate LLP. has developed and managed AIIE on a site of approximately 1,700,000m2, which has almost reached full capacity in just over a decade. Total investment to date exceeds 1 Billion USD with full capacity, total employment of over 6000 employees, and Local employment which exceed 1250 jobs. Queirah International Industrial Estate (QIIE) is the first industrial zone in Jordan equipped with liquefied natural gas. QIIE 15 years investment goal will reach over $1 billion, and will create at least 6500 jobs. The infrastructure of the first phase is ready to receive investors. Investment in the estate will promote and develop Jordan’s industrial exports from Aqaba to different countries and will attract new non-traditional industries.
