Pcan Organisation Overview
In 2020, Pastor Simuka Van Edrine experienced a pivotal revelation that would dramatically transform the lives of pastors in Uganda's remote regions. Observing the critical needs of these dedicated ministers—who fervently pursue their divine calling despite severe shortages of essential resources like Bibles and training—Pastor Simuka founded Pastors Care and Networking (PCAN). This non-denominational organization is dedicated to providing these pastors with the tools and support they need to fulfill their spiritual missions. The Challenge Pastors in Uganda's remote areas face significant hardships. Approximately 75% of these pastors lack proper housing, adequate food, and income-generating projects. Despite their unwavering dedication, their ability to effectively lead their communities is severely impeded by the absence of basic resources such as Bibles, theological training, and mentorship. PCAN is committed to addressing these critical issues by creating a network where pastors can share their challenges, find solutions, and continue their ministry with hope and resilience. The Vision Pastor Simuka’s vision is clear and transformative: to build a support network that bridges the gap between isolated pastors and the resources they urgently need. His goal is to ensure that every pastor, regardless of their location, has access to quality biblical training, essential materials, and a supportive community. The Birth of Pastors Care and Networking (PCAN) Founded in 2020, PCAN was created with several key Objectives in mind: 1.To Supply Bibles and other critical materials to pastors in remote areas, ensuring they have the foundational tools needed for their ministry. 2.To Provide comprehensive training programs and educational resources that equip pastors with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective leadership. 3.To Establish a network where pastors can connect, share experiences, and support one another, fostering a sense of community.
