PDRI was created in 2016 in Kakuma refugee camp located in Kenya. As all our activities are focussed on Peace Building, we have been working with kids under 15 years and use Sport activities to create a space where kids can create friendlydhip dissiminate peace messages to their parents and helders. Also we have been training and doing awareness on peace building to bring our society together so that they may live in peaceful cohabitation nd positive interaction as refugees in Kakuma come from more than 10 nationalities and the consequence is that due to diversity of cultures and bilieves,
The mission of PDRI is to sensitize people especially youth so that they are principal actors and participate in all peace activity through Education, Sport and Art.
The vision of PDRI is that all communities in Kakuma refugee camp as well as the host community are interacting positively and living peacefully in harmony for the cohesion of the society even though divergences of cultures and believes there is missunderstanding which creates crashes and fights sometimes conducting to deaths.
The major objectives of PDRI are:
1. Fighting against any kind of discrimination and promoting unity in diversity
2. Initiating Vocational Trainings in order to equip women, youths and elders with life skills
3. Promoting Cultural, Sport and Art initiatives for peaceful cohesion
4. Creating Income Generated Activities (IGA) for good functioning of the office
