Pehchaan Ek Safar (PES), a non-profitable organization is run and governed by the students of the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar.
The prime objective of PES is to ameliorate the weaker section of society and the people in need, without any discrimination based on caste, creed, sex, or religion. This includes creating education awareness among local communities, achieving gender equality, and conducting training programs for self-employment.
To achieve the objectives, the PES volunteers tute the underprivileged children in the vicinity of the IIT Ropar campus on daily basis and support them in avail school education. Additionally, the school-going students are given exposure to the recent developments in the area of science and technology.
The volunteers at Pehchaan Ek Safar feel the need to be at the forefront of the battle against illiteracy.
