WHAT IS PPX.org?
The US/China People-to-People Exchange (PPX) is a an educational and cultural nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting peace, mutual understanding and friendly, direct dialogue between the people of the US and China.
PPX aims to accomplish this through cross-cultural person-to-person exchanges, illuminating largely forgotten, historically relevant personal accounts of goodwill through music, art, literature, video, media, exhibits, museums, education and forums.
The PPX fiscal sponsor is the Players Philanthropy Fund.
PPX MISSION
To build positive perceptions and understanding about people from the US among the people of China.
OBJECTIVES
PPX’s objectives include establishing a museum, creating specific permanent exhibits in both the US and China, producing cross-cultural events in multiple locations - such as art, music and cultural exhibits and festivals - utilizing traveling exhibits, and distributing streaming services, broadcast communications and printed material via the Internet.
