At Performer Wellness we foster the well-being of creative people. Our mission is to help people live healthier, happier, and more creative lives, and heal from past trauma. We teach self-care techniques for coping with performance anxiety, working through creative blocks, and preventing injury. We believe in the transformative healing power of music in the context of a multi-modal wellness approach. Through the use of music and/or its elements (sound, rhythm, melody and harmony) we facilitate and promote communication, relationship, learning, mobilization, expression, organization and other relevant therapeutic goals, in order to meet cognitive, physical, emotional and social needs.
Biography
Michael Anthony Lahue is an American pianist, singer, composer, arranger and producer, arranjador e produtor of Música Popular Brasileira (Brazilian Popular Music). Through his label, Arabutã World Music, LLC, he has released more than 50 tracks on all digital music platforms, including two albums, four EP’s and nine singles, in addition to having a substantial presence on social media, with more than 100 thousand followers on Instagram. With a post-baccalaureate and Master’s in Music Therapy, the artist is also a clinician in two hospitals in New Jersey, where he lives with his wife and three children. He facilitates the Montello Method for Performance Wellness in wellness workshops for musicians and performing artists, which combines creative arts therapies, yoga and behavioral medicine. He is also an influencer of the clothing brand prAna and a vegan activist, and has three crowdfunding campaigns on the sites APOIA.se, Patreon and GoFundMe.
