Peru's Challenge

Peru's Challenge partners with rural communities in order to improve each community's standard of living. It differs from other development programs in that it maintains strict guidelines for achieving sustainability, prioritising community autonomy. To achieve this end, Peru's Challenge focuses on: education, health and wellness, and the social enfranchisement of women. Peru's Challenge relies on two key resources for its projects: community members and volunteers. In addition to engaging the local community in its development projects, Peru's Challenge provides a unique volunteer-tourism experience in which participants pay to stay at the volunteer house, experience Cuzco, and volunteer within rural communities.
