Petra Institute South Africa Overview

Petra Institute is a non-profit consultation service in children’s ministry with various international partners servicing interdenominational communities. We work on Biblically-based principles and create practical change through fostering relationships. Our course work is presented through experiential learning and our outcomes have longevity. Vision Petra Institute wants to serve as catalysts in shifting paradigms about children through advocacy, consultation, partnerships, training and mentoring organisations working in communities. We see children as respected, valued and equal co-travellers and aim to create healthy communities through building healthy relationships. We want to challenge what is wrong in society through a prominent process to bring about transformation. Mission Inspired by our God-given calling, Petra Institute promotes, facilitates and provides accessible Childhood Development services in areas of need in collaboration with various organisations and communities, and a wide network of partners.
