PFLAG+ is an international group of volunteers that support parents, friends and caregivers of LGBTQIA+ loved ones. The research on the benefits of parental and community support is strongly correlated with positive mental health outcomes for our LGBTQIA+ community.
PFLAG+ groups across Australia provide much needed peer support to parents of rainbow kids of all ages.
The role of PFLAG+ Australia is to provide education and resources to assist these groups, and to educate more broadly across the civil and corporate space. We also strive to advocate for equality and creating positive community support for our family members
Importantly, we aim to increase care, education and advocacy across Australia for parents who support their loved ones especially in rural and regional Australia.
