What We Do: Serving the Twin Cities metro area, and surrounding communities, we provide housing assistance, recovery support services, and other resources to individuals in the early stages of recovery from substance use disorder (SUD) and/or recently released from incarceration. Through a vast partner network of over 100 recovery residences, and 50+ treatment centers, including multiple state and local correctional facilities, we aim to assist anyone seeking a new life in long term recovery. So, why the name, “Pink Cloud”? "Pink Cloud" references a neurological phenomenon first coined in the early years of Alcoholics Anonymous, and now commonly found in medical literature, known as "Pink Cloud Syndrome". Pink Cloud Syndrome is defined as "the state of mind, usually experienced in early sobriety (Day 14 to 45)", characterized by extreme happiness, sudden clarity, and overconfidence. This phenomenon is part of the chemical process that the body, especially the brain, experiences as it begins to heal itself from within, repairing its natural reward system, and regulating the “feel good” neurotransmitters, like serotonin and dopamine, back to normal levels.
