The Pink Boat Regatta Overview

Since 2012, The Pink Boat Regatta ® has led the effort to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research through Sailing. It started in Seattle as a grassroots effort by some passionate folks, and quickly spread to other Yacht Clubs on the West Coast. This is a unique event in that every $100 raised towards a participating boat constitutes a “buoy” on race day, so more contributions mean a better chance at winning the regatta. We are hoping it will expand across America and the World as we sail towards a cure and raise awareness along the way. In 2016, with donations from our Seattle & Bellingham Regattas, the PBR ® donated an unprecedented $103,796 to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation! This brings our total donation amount to over $324,000. 100% of all net proceeds go directly to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Our beneficiary, has raised more than $570 million for BCRF-funded researchers who have been deeply involved in every major breakthrough in breast cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and survivorship.
